The village of Milestii Mici, located just 18 kilometers from the capital Chisinau, was recently entered into the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest wine storage tunnels!
Of the original 250 kilometers of underground passages adapted for this purpose, about 120 of them are currently in operation. History tells that the creation of these underground passages was originally due to the extraction of stone in the subsoil by the inhabitants of the village, it is estimated that this activity has opened up a total of 400 kilometers of tunnels.
Over 2,000,000 bottles are stored underground in Milestii Mici, most of which are red wine. Original architecture (according to the traditions of medieval castles) is the imposing entrance into the cellar, with a waterfall of crystal clear water. The tour of the cellar can be done by car, but it is much more pleasant to take a walk through the streets that bear the names of the wines - Cabernet, Aligotè, Feteasca, etc. Each bottle of wine in the cellar has a relevant identity card which indicates the number, the name of the wine, the year of harvest and the year the aging period began.

You can find white wines, such as "Milestscoe 1986", "Dnestrovscoe 1984", or vigorous red wines, such as "Cabernet 1986", "Codru 1986", "Negru dei Purcari 1986" or many flavored ones such as "Gratiesti 1986", "Auriu 1986", "Trandafirul Moldovei 1986". All these wines on many occasions have made Moldova famous abroad.

The factory exports wines to Russia, the United States, Japan, China, the United Kingdom and Greece.
