09:00 Meeting with the guide and departure by "deluxe" car/minibus for the Capriana Monastery, during the route passing through the characteristic villages of Panasesti and Ciobanca as well as a stretch of the “Codrii” woods.

10.00am arrival and visit of the monastic complex and the village of Capriana

011:00 transfer to the Hincu monastery with intermediate stop at a panoramic viewpoint excellent for photographs of the surrounding valleys.

012:00 arrival to visit the monastic complex of Hincu, its mineral and miraculous water sources

1.30pm departure for the return to Chisinau which will take place after about an hour of travel

NB: this excursion also includes an afternoon variant with departure from Chisinau at 2.00 pm and return at 7.30 pm with the same itinerary.

The monastery of Capriana, located about twelve kilometers south-west of Straseni, can be reached after crossing a wonderful bush belonging to the famous Codrii of Bessarabia.
This sacred place of Orthodoxy miraculously survived the looting and destruction perpetrated by the Soviets who converted it into a goods depot during the communist era.
The buildings that compose it are located on the shore of an artificial lake.
The oldest part, the Church of the Assumption, which dates back to the 14th century, is in Baroque style.
The church of San Nicola, built in the 19th century, and the church of San Giorgio, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, complete the ensemble.

The monastery of Hincu nuns is located at a distance of 70 kilometers from the Moldovan capital. Located amidst hills and forests, the monastery was built in the year 1678.
It is one of the richest monastic complexes in the Moldavian Republic.
A large number of people visit this monastery especially in the month of October on the occasion of the feast of Saint Paraschiva.
The peculiarity of this place is that during the summer the floral compositions created by the nuns themselves make the place truly enchanting.

Hincu is also famous for its spring waters to which, according to the tradition of Orthodox belief, miraculous properties are ascribed ("izvorul minunilor", translated from Romanian "spring of miracles") and near the source there has been a large pool for a long time where pilgrims from every corner of Moldova come to immerse themselves during the summer following a very particular ritual.
The monastery is open to visitors all week.
