09:00 Meeting with the guide and departure by "deluxe" minibus for the archaeological-museum complex of Orheiul Vechi and its rock monasteries (locations of Butuceni and Trebujeni)
10.00 am Arrival in Butuceni and meeting with the local guide, short visit to the ethnographic museum. Visit to the rock monasteries of Pestere and Bosie. Followed by a visit to the "Gospodaria traditionala taraneasca" (ancient traditional country house).
12.00 Transfer by minibus to the village of Trebujeni with visit to the ruins of the "Federeu", the ancient thermal bath, ascent to the tuff caves of Trebujeni with a general panoramic view of the Orheiul Vechi valley and the Raut river. Caves, caves, hills, sites, necropolises and ancient hermits. The whole history of Moldova is here, in Orheiul Vechi - open-air museum complex where the first inhabitants settled about 40,000 years ago
1.00pm Transfer to a traditional restaurant in the area for lunch.
2.30pm Departure from the restaurant for the village of Tipova
3.30pm Visit to the rural village and guided tour of the Tipova rock monastery
5.30pm Snack based on "placinte" and house wine at the "Hanul lui Hanganu" farmhouse with the possibility of taking a motorboat excursion along the Nistru river (not included in the price)
7.00 pm Departure for the return to Chisinau which will take place at 8.30 pm

When you arrive in the village of Tipova it seems like you have been transported with a time machine to a medieval era. Here is the "Adormirea Maicii Domnului" monastery made up of two different sections, the new one which is not of particular interest and the old one which is a real marvel! It is a construction entirely dug into the rock like the Bosie monastery with the difference that this is not dug from top to bottom on the rock but rather is hollowed inside a vertical rock wall overlooking the Nistru river. To get down there you have to follow a path with very steep slopes so be accompanied by the monks who live in the new part of the monastery. One of the legends circulating linked to the Tipova monastery is that the mythological poet Orpheus, considered the father of poetry, ended his life in this very place. His tomb is located a short distance from the rock monastery. But the most important legend is the one linked to the Great Lord and Saint Stefan cel Mare who got married right here with one of his wives, Maria Voichita in the mid-15th century. Descending the rock wall that leads you to the monastery you can admire from above the splendid landscape that opens onto the Nistru river and the Transnistrian region which is immediately in front.

Near the Nistru river and the village of Tipova, we can admire huge rocks, waterfalls and rock caves. The canyon structure of a valley appears to take the shape of a defeated dragon. The name of the valley derives from this optical illusion. Hundreds of tourists visit this place to absorb the positive energy it emanates; it is believed that every stone in this valley has a magical power. Hanul-lui Hanganu is one of the first agritourism experiments in the Republic of Moldova and is located in the picturesque village of Lalova on the bank of the Nistru River. Here it is possible to taste the best of Moldavian peasant gastronomy made of only natural ingredients accompanied by the excellent wine (white and red) of own production which is served in the typical jugs called "ulcioare". Delicious are the "placinte" (typical Moldavian bread parcels) which are stuffed with homemade cheese (cow or sheep), with potatoes, with cabbage and finally with minced beef and pork. The farm is equipped with a motorboat with a capacity of up to 8 passengers used for excursions along the Nistru river, furthermore for lovers of horseback riding it is possible to rent one and venture into the surrounding nature.
